DCDS Makes a Difference at Harms

DCDS students had the opportunity to go to Harms Elementary School on December 15th. Since 1935, Harms has offered small class sizes that allow the staff to give every student individual attention. The children at Harms often develop a love for reading at an early age thanks to their collection of 30,000 books. After-school activities are also provided so the Harms students can strive towards “mens sana in corpore sano”.

This year, DCDS students planned activities such as cookie decorating, Christmas card making, hat & scarf decorating, and cheerful holiday dancing for the children at Harms. Everyone had a wonderful time and a festive joy filled the air. The wonderful event taught students from both schools that the holidays aren’t about material possessions, but rather the joy and love that we can all share.
