Late nights and Country Day go hand-in-hand. Whether you’re staying up to study, unwind, or party, you’ll need extra fuel to compensate for your consistent lack of sleep and poor time management skills. Here are our top choices for 24/7 dining:
O.W.L ($$)
Open 24hrs Tuesday-Saturday
27302 Woodward Ave, Royal Oak, MI 48067
O.W.L. is the perfect alternative to fast food. It’s a Mexican-American diner with solid service and amazing cuisine. They specialize in comfort food, including burgers, tacos, and French-fries. I highly recommend trying the Chicken Fried Chicken & Gravy, Double Layer Nachos, and Cinnamon Rolls.
Leo’s Coney Island ($-$$)
Open 24/7
154 S Old Woodward Ave, Birmingham, MI 48009
Known for their Coney Island hotdogs, Leo’s is another inexpensive option for your midnight snacks. If you go during the weekend or after a school event, you’re more than likely to run into people you know (even though you’ll probably pretend to not notice them). Our favorite items are the Chocolate Chip Pancakes, Chicken Finger Pitas, and Hash Browns.
The Hills City Grille ($-$$)
Open 24/7
2940 Rochester Rd, Troy, MI 48083
The Hills offers an expansive all-day breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu that’ll cover just about anything you’re craving. They have great Pizza Sticks, Reuben Sandwiches, and Stir Fry Bowls. If they’re busy when you arrive, don’t waste your time there. Service is often slow and food can take hours to arrive when you’re with a large group.
If all else fails, McDonalds (with all day breakfast) and Taco Bell (with Doritos Locos Tacos) will get the job done.
