In addition, Stavros Cardasis claims that his first state meet was “lit”. Captain John Ni said it was a great meet to end the season and his swimming career at DCDS. There were four records that were broken at the meet, including the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:37.07 seconds with swimmers Brendan Gatward, Lucas Kokubo, Johnny Liu, and John Ni. Captain Brendan Gatward broke the 200 IM record as well as the 500 free record and the 100 back record with times of 1:54.53 seconds and 51.27 seconds respectively. Lucas Kokubo also broke the 100 breast record with a time of 58.44 seconds. Lucas Kokubo and Brendan Gatward both got all-state in their individual events.
